We don’t profess to be a totally sustainable business but we are working on being as ethical & efficient as possible. We use very little plastic and (in fact some of our tables are made of recycled yoghurt pots), have environmentally friendly cleaning products & 100% decomposable Vegware take-away containers. Too Good To Go help us reduce food waste.
We were keen to translate being ethically-minded throughout the restaurant using very little plastic where possible and reusable glass containers and bottles. Some of the tables are made of recycled yoghurt pots and the rest of the restaurant has been built using lots of reclaimed wood.
And while we don’t profess to be a totally sustainable business, we’ve thought about how we can ethically source our uniforms, tea towels, the cleaning products we use and biodegradable packaging that truly breaks down. Takeaway food is served in Vegware which is 100% biodegradable.
“With hydroponics and 'vertical growing' we can grow fresh and healthy produce in the city and right next to the point of consumption. It saves on the water use and carbon footprint of our food and keeps it in the highest quality. Installing a small growing system in a restaurant is great for chefs as they have a connection with the salad leaves and herbs they use, as they helped grow them.”

“Of course we can only grow a fraction of the food we will be serving but our own growing system will set the scene for a conversation with our customers about the importance of local food and the role we are playing in creating a more sustainable and transparent food system.”
